About BeefEx 2026

Organised by the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA), BeefEx is held every two years and is one of the key industry gatherings for Australia’s lot feeding and grain-fed beef sector.

Rather than being a conventional machinery exhibition, BeefEx combines an industry conference, technical discussions, trade exhibition and networking activities. Participants come from across the sector, including feedlot operators, beef producers, nutritionists, veterinarians, feed companies, technology providers and specialist service businesses.

BeefEx 2026 will be held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. According to information released by the organiser, more than 1,000 delegates have registered for this year’s event, while the trade exhibition will feature more than 100 booths.

The 2026 program covers subjects including global beef markets, modern feedlot development, production management, emerging technologies, sustainability and the future structure of the lot feeding industry. Discussions around the “Feedlot of 2040” also reflect a broader industry interest in how technology, automation, nutrition and management practices may shape future feedlot operations.

Australia is not a new market for BellaEx.

More than a decade ago, the BellaEx team began working with Australian grain-processing companies, including projects involving oat flaking and related grain-processing applications. Some of these earlier machines remain in operation today, giving BellaEx a long-term view of the importance Australian users place on equipment reliability, continuous operation and maintainability.

Over the years, BellaEx’s work has expanded from individual flaking machines into a broader range of Feed & Food applications covering flaking, grinding, rolling and feed mill solutions.

Within ruminant feed processing, the company has continued to work with Steam-Flaked Corn (SFC), grain flaking, cracking and process systems involving steam chests, flaking mills and dryer-coolers.

Purpose of the BeefEx 2026 Visit

The main purpose of this year’s BeefEx visit is to better understand the Australian feedlot production system.

Grain processing decisions in Australian feedlots are closely linked to local grain availability, ration formulation, energy costs, feeding systems and operating scale. How corn, barley and wheat are processed — and where steam flaking, dry rolling or cracking fit into local feeding practices — remains an important area for technical discussion.

For BellaEx, BeefEx therefore represents more of an industry learning and exchange opportunity than a conventional exhibition visit.

The company expects to use the event to speak directly with feedlot operators, nutritionists, feed companies and technical service providers, with particular interest in grain processing, feed efficiency and the practical requirements of equipment operating under Australian feedlot conditions.

Joining ALFA and Industry Participation

BellaEx has also recently joined the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA), extending its connection with the local industry beyond individual projects and towards more continuous industry participation.

From oat flaking projects more than a decade ago to today’s renewed focus on the Australian beef feedlot sector, BellaEx is taking a measured approach to the market: understand local production first, and discuss equipment and process solutions afterwards.
